This hat is a HUK brand straw sun hat with fabric lining.

To achieve the look and durability I do the following:

Coat in a primer to treat fabric and give it texture to paint.

I then get creative! Each of these hats features a Brook trout design that is one of a kind and will never be reproduced. These items have been great character studies of trout patterns and creating functional art.

I then seal them up with 3 coats of matte varnish and a coat of matte poly coat, this treatment does stiffen the brim a bit, but the hat is really scratch proof.

Finally the hat is given a unique fly fishing patch. You are welcome to ship in a patch, or suggest a unique one of your own upon purchase.
