A beautifully illustrated antique children's book entitled, 'The Manger Babe' by Isabel C. Byrum and published in 1916 by The Stecher Litho. Co., New York. This first edition paperback book, No.34, features delightful online full page illustrations by Margaret Evans Price in deep rich colors, as well as blue and red line drawings. One drawing is of Santa Claus with his sack of toys on his way to deliver gifts to 'good boys and girls'.

The antique Christmas book is in overall good condition, although there are a two corners missing on the cover and the first page, as well as one the top of the back cover. This over-sized book measures; 13 3/4" x 7 1/2". This book was gifted to, Helen Lee Heirich, whose name is written on the top of the cover. On the back side of the cover; with much love from your S.S. Teacher, Alice C. Brown.

This very nice antique book highlights the true meaning of Christmas with the traditional tale of the birth of the Christ Child in the Manger.
