This super unique pendant is part of a vintage belt buckle that I found and loved the detailing and contrast between the black base material in an intricate detailed setting.
I love finding these old buckles. To me, they are a unique art form. Not unlike today, antique buckles themselves were part of an accessory wardrobe.
The tassel chain is in brass and finished with golden colored Swarovski crystals. It has a lobster clasp. This can be shortened on request with a few days extra time before shipping. This is definitely one of a kind. The chain tassel is almost 4" long online.
The hook on the back of the buckle is stamped "Czechosolvakia" which means it was manufactured sometime between 1918 and 1993. Based on the style, it looks to be from the 1920's.
It's a bit reminiscent of the flapper/deco era.
Comes with a pretty drawstring storage bag.
