When I was stationed as First Officer in the Casa 212 out of Kotzebue, Alaska, the Captain I flew with was the company's go-to flight instructor. I spent a number of flights riding along in the middle seat as the new pilot went through stalls, turns, approaches and various other maneuvers. I had realized I've never seen a painting from this perspective and that was quite exciting for me. In the background you can see the ice of the Chukchi Sea, just on the edge of the Arctic ocean near the small village of Kivalina. In this moment the Captain and First Officer trainee are running through a checklist to restart an engine that was shut down for training purposes.
The print is without a frame, and measures 19” x 14.5” including online the white border around the art. The art itself is 17” x 12.6” Limited edition of 75 prints, and they're all signed.
