White Freshwater 8.5mm online Pearl 17.5 Inch Princess Necklace Knotted on Real Silk

Here is a lovely necklace of cultured freshwater white pearls strung on real silk with a knot tied between each one. This elegant piece was created by my wife with pearls that are approximately 8.5mm, light cream/white colored pearls with very nice orient, a bright sheen, and a nearly round shape, a good grade of cultured freshwater pearls. Often cultured freshwater pearls have natural blemishes and creases that show that they are the real thing and these pretty pearls have these desirable characteristics. Finished with Sterling silver findings and an easy to use clasp, this fastener design comes from local hill tribe artist here in Thailand and is estimated to be higher in silver content than traditional Sterling. This necklace is a 17.5 inch princess length, a very common and versatile length, well suited for wear with crew, high and even plunging necklines. This is a length to wear with almost any outfit whether it is casual, business or formal.

The individual knots serve to keep the pearls from rubbing against one another. It is best not to accept short-cut knotting that only knot between every other or even every 6 pearls as that will not protect the soft pearls from chaffing each other. Strung on real silk like this one makes them hang so beautifully, they lay on a ladies skin like a liquid, following all contours. The synthetic strings do not allow the same beauty in our experience. Nature does it better.
