Unusual!! 1988 Vintage Department 56 Dickens’ Village Series online “Counting House" Silas Thimbleton Barrister Office

This holiday building is from Department 56, it is called “Counting House” it has an attached accounting and lawyer offices with residences above. Silas Thimbleton, Barrister is the accountant and lawyer. The building is a square, three story, 3-chimney, office building. Equal angle gables create 4-section roof with snow patches. The main building has yellow brick and many windows. An attached plaster/timbered three story building is smaller and narrower. This piece is beautiful when the light is on, the windows have a yellow glow to them. Above the front door is a green wreath with a red bow, and green garland with red bows are hanging on the outside of the building, a sign on the side building has a sign that reads: “Silas Thimbleton Barrister”. There is just so much detail it is very difficult to describe all of it, please see photos. Great addition to your collection. Brush Trees not included.

Its in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. We have the original styrofoam packaging and sleeve, they show some wear from previous owner, so it is not a perfect box. Light and switch work fine. On the bottom it reads: Dickens' Village Series “Counting House” Dept. 56 1988.

Measures approx: 7 3/4” tall x 4 1/4” wide x 3 3/4” deep.

Item #59021, Year Released…1988 and retired in 1990. Each year, certain pieces are selected online to be retired from production. Once that decision has been made, the mold is broken.
