The canyon wren!!! An amazing member of the wren family, this bird online has charismatic charm, a stirring song of cascading notes, and dwells in spectacular places like Yosemite and Grand Canyon. More often heard than seen, they are energetic birds, striking antic poses between probing for insects with their long narrow beaks in the crevices of boulders.
This etching was run through the press on a piece of 1962 Grand Canyon topo map in a process called 'chine collé'.
You will not regret bringing this wonderful bird into your home. Except it may cause you to yearn even more strongly for a getaway to your nearest western canyon lands.
