The blanket at the green and red stripes is more narrow only about 64.5" wide
The tag reads Golden Down, 100% Wool, J C Penneys
This tag predates the re-naming of JC Penneys in 1971 after
James Cash Penney died at the age of 95. That year, the company adopted the JC Penney style in advertising.

There are two thin areas are pictured.
Spots are also pictured.
It appears the blanket may have been washed and now is more narrow at the green and red stripes
