As a young girl, I vividly remember watching the coverage of Louwala-Clough, or Mount Saint Helens as the volcano blew her top and swallowed thousands of acres of forest in mere moments. At online five years old, I knew I would visit this mountain someday - the first addition to my bucket list!
Today, I am as captivated by this mountain as I was those many years ago. I keep dragging us back there on our random three-day weekends to catch the mountain in a different season, in a different light, and with different flora and fauna.
This image was taken from inside the theatre inside the Johnson Ridge Observatory. As the curtain rises following the films, this scene of the mountain emerges.
