Fused and slumped glass dish using reactive glass. 9" x 5"
Glass with an added mineral content reacts with silver foil to create interesting effects around the edges of the foil. Thin circles of silver foil are placed on top of glass that will react with the silver on the edges. The first firing at online 1490 degrees Fahrenheit fuses the glass together. A second firing at a temperature of 1250 degrees is made using a ceramic mold to shape the piece.

There is a layer of clear glass on the bottom to give the piece a finished thickness off 6mm.
