Online Elephant Earrings

Before you commit to a technique it's nice to try it out on some scrap. I teach lots of classes so I keep bins of scrap in my studio just for that purpose. These pieces get rolled, folded, stamped and hammered until they can't take it anymore. The copper for these earrings was rescued from that bin. I continued working it, only now with purpose. I cut the shape, drilled, enameled, dapped, and eventually added pearl drops with online oxidized sterling silver wire and 14k rose gold filled ear wires. From the top of the ear wires to the pearls, these earring measure 1.75 inches. You'll receive them with little rubber stoppers on the back to keep them from falling off.
