Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks but impercetible crazing. Made in Bohemia Czech Republic by Royal Dux signed by Vanka, this is a serene deer figurine hand-painted in brown and finished with a glossy glaze layer. Royal Dux Made in Czeklosovakia stamp on the bottom.
The Dux (Duchcov) factory was established in 1853. The Pink trangle Royal Dux Bohemia with impressed D mark is on the bottom. . According to Robert E. Rontgen's “Marks on German, Bohemian and Austrian Porcelain,” this mark was used starting in 1912. Rontgen also suggests that the “E” became a “D” in 1947 and an “M” in 1953. Appearing in all genuine factory-applied raised pink triangles, regardless of age, is "Royal Dux Bohemia." That lettering appears around an oval shape in the center of the triangle.
This is a really lovely serene piece that would be a beautiful centerpiece on a dining room table or nestled among the live potted online plants in a sunroom or living room.
