Native American Green Turquoise Silver Bar Pin Fred Harvey Era

This lovely, classic bar pin is in excellent vintage condition. Crafted from coin silver in the Fred Harvey era style, the brooch features classic Southwestern American details and a handsome green turquoise central stone.

From the early 1900s through the 1950s, the Fred Harvey Company sold a variety of Native American arts, jewelry, and crafts to tourists along the the Santa Fe railroad lines and Harvey hotels, and pieces such as this were very popular among the tourists from the North and East. Most pieces were made from coin silver, but select jewelry was made from sterling.
