Two Mermaid Ring with Faceted online Opal ~ Size 9 1/4 to 13

Delicate and subtle, two lovely mermaids present a 4mm faceted translucent opal in sterling silver.

This stone is quite unique as it is in faceted form, while most opal is cut as cabochon. This is AAA+ Ethiopian Welo opal from the newly discovered plateau in Africa, and has sheets of color unlike other opals we've seen in the past. More Photos to Come!
The locals are the only ones allowed to mine this field and the government is supplying basic tools, thus improving the miners lives:
