The price is for a set of three pieces, one sake bottle and two teacups.

Inka-mon is stamped on a white background, and finished off with a lovely mellow Shino glaze.

The Inka technique, in which flower patterns are embedded, was introduced from online the Korean Peninsula during the tea ceremony.

It has a rugged, handmade look that is hard to cool down.
The unevenness of the feldspar glaze also adds to the taste of this generous sake cup.

It has a sense of weight, which is rare for Kiyomizu ware.

It is a Kyoto-style Shino ware that is gorgeous in its austerity.

Ceramics History Yoshinobu Kawashima, Yoshinobu Kishin Kiln

Learned the techniques of Sometsuke and Ue (overglaze enamels) at Sakaguchi Sanraku Kiln and Koge Tanzan Kiln for three years each.
In 1984, he devoted himself to pottery making under his father-in-law Kozo Kawashima at the Uji Sumiyama Craft Village.
The soft atmosphere of his works, which make full use of the earthy flavor, is familiar and popular.

Born in 1956 in Osaka.
Awarded the Excellence Prize at the Kyoto Prefecture Best Design Exhibition in 1991.
