Stig Lindberg classic miniature Scottish Terrier (Skotte) with lovely shiny salt glaze and textured fur. Desiged in the 1960s. A cute little piece for your animal/dog collection! Maker Ceramic Studio Gustavsberg (Keramikstudion Gustavsberg) in Sweden, Material Stoneware. Shown with a Lisa Larson classic cat from the same era for scale. Approximately 6 cm in length.


The artist:
Stig Lindberg (1916–1981) designed more than 150 models and decors for the Gustavsberg factory. One of the most well-known series is Prunus. His brilliant series "Prunus" has stylistically pure shapes decorated with blue plum online pattern. It was designed in 1962 at the Gustavsberg Factory in the Stockholm archipelago. The series is still crafted at the same location according to the area's long-standing pottery tradition. An example of legendary Swedish porcelain design.
