The ornament for this pillow is stylized by the designer from a towel of the XX century of the Podolsk region of Ukraine.
The basis of the ornament - a rhomb is a symbol of fertility (both women and land), welfare.
Often such ornaments were embroidered on wedding towels.
I make pillows with love for details.
Neat minimalist tag with my logo that does not interfere with the design. The lock behind is almost invisible, but thanks to it the pillowcase can be removed and washed.
I use home-woven fabric for a pillowcase, and then decorate it with embroidery.
This material has been around for a long time, since the days of weaving. Then it was made of hemp and flax, and it was woven at home (hence the name of the canvas). This process lasted about a year of manual labor (from sowing plants to spinning and weaving the canvas itself). Now, of course, production has almost completely moved to the factory, but the composition remained natural, only hemp was replaced by cotton, and flax remained in the composition.
Threads for embroidery were chosen woolen, but here acrylic thread is added to the wool so that the product does not sit down when washed, is better used and retains its beautiful appearance longer.
Pillow patterns are embroidered by me by hand, and then copies are embroidered by machine. The final product that people buy is embroidered with a machine, ie it is not a complete handmade. You can write it or not mention it as you see fit.
