XS 1950s Designer Dress - Cranberry Red Velveteen Sheath with Button Detail online - Mildred Orrick - Contemporary of Claire McCardell - Bust 32
1950s velveteen dress is a minimalist shirtwaist with forward-thinking details from Mildred Orrick, a lifelong colleague of Claire McCardell's. This cranberry red sheath has a collared bodice, half sleeves with cuffs, and a top-stitched seam just under the bust. It's a sheath with curves, a nipped waist, and rounded hip. Button detail at lower front skirt is functional. Made between 1946 and 1954, when Orrick designed under the Janice Milan label.
