This gas-fired basket/vase is both thrown and hand-built. The vessel is beautifully fired in Porcelain Shino which results in luscious matte-finished browns, bronzes, and fawn colors. The basket will hold flowers, breadsticks, or anything that you would like, or it can stand on its own as a fine art piece. This unique home décor fine arts piece can be hand-washed and/or put into the dishwasher without problem. The sculpted animal was inspired online by my many safari trips and love of large animals, and serves as a fine art addition to a common vase or basket.
