This reading bronze sculpture is one of the many hand crafted pieces made in Bolgatanga, Ghana , West Africa. The people of northern ghana learned the ‘lost wax casting process' from their trading partners from NorthernAfrica in the C15.This has been passed down from generation to generation.
The bronze figures capture the graceful molds of women and men figures with headgears, children, gracefully balancing pots and even reading as an indication of the progress that has been made in the world. Some are also on their way to work with tools and companions.
