Antique Linen Altar online Cloth, Jesus and Angel with Lilies, Hand Embroidered, French Religious Textile

This antique linen embroidery is of young Jesus being looked over by an angel presenting Him with lilies.
I think it was probably part of an altar cloth. I found this in France, and just couldn't resist it.

Such a beautiful figural scene, hand embroidered on natural linen. The embroidery is wonderful, as I imagine it was done by Nuns in a convent.
I haven't laundered it, but feel sure the storage stains will soak out .

The hand knotted pink fringe might be silk, I haven't tested it yet.

It measures online 28" X 18 and an addition of approx. 5" fringe. Wonderful antique condition.
