Large 6-1/2" Vintage Hummel Goebel 'Telling Her Secret' Figurine (HUM 196/1) online | TMK-5 | W. Germany
Hummel Goebel 'Telling Her Secret' Figurine
The girl on the left is sharing a secret with her trusted friend who appears genuinely happy to know the big news. Modeled by master sculptor Reinhold Unger and introduced shortly thereafter. It's original name was The Secret. Note that the girl on the right is online the same you will find in the Hummel 258 'Which Hand?' figurine.
Crafted in porcelain and hand painted with careful attention to details. It measures 6-1/2" tall including the oval base x 3" wide x 4-1/4" long. It is marked with a pressed in "M. I. Hummel" facsimile signature (her personal stamp of approval) on the back of the base and stamped on the underside with TMK-5 The Last Bee mark. Initialed by the painter. Made in W. Germany. TMK-5 pieces were produced from circa 1972 to 1979.
In Excellent vintage condition. Displays very well, nice and clean with no chips, nicks, cracks, repairs. No crazing too. Weight before packaging is 13 oz. No original box. Will ship boxed via USPS Priority Mail.
