This listing is for an antique Half-Doll related item.
It is a Vanity, crumb brush or some refer to them as a mini whisk broom.

It depicts Hansel, from Hansel & Gretel. I own the pair and the last two photos show them together.
A very unique set and in excellent to near pristine condition.

The colors are vibrant and the hand painting is exceptional. Please zoom in and look at the details on these lovely and rare pieces.
Gretel sears an apron and has one hand perched on her hip and the other is holding her braided hair. She weas socks and an adorable pair of red shoes.
Hansel wears a green pair of nickers and a lavender jacket. He wears a white shirt beneath his jacket and a yellow hat upon his curly locks.

These wonderful antique pieces are marked Germany on the back as well as inside the brush cap.
The brushes are in remarkable condition and have always been kept on display in a glass cabinet away from dust which is why they are in such wonderful antique condition.
A rare find. Over my many years of collecting I have come across other Hansel & Gretel brushes for sale and most often one or both porcelain tops have been chipped or broken/repaired and many do not have the original brush intact.
Rare to find the set with no breaks, chips or repairs and the original brush intact and in such great condition.

They come from a smoke free environment and are part of a private collection.

The custom wooden display stand is included with each one.

These brushes came in two sizes that I am aware of. The set I am offering for sale is the largest size that was manufactured. The smaller size features a doll of just 2.5 inches in size.

You may buy Hansel or Gretel or you may purchase the pair.
Each piece measures 8 inches tall (brush and porcelain topper)
The porcelain topper alone is 4.5 inches tall
Height including the stand is 9.25 inches.

These wonderful and quite rare crumb, vanity brushes would make a wonderful addition to any collection. You need not be a doll collector to enjoy these lovely full figure German fairy tale cuties. They would look lovely perched up high in a child's nursery or displayed in a den or office. They would be perfect displayed in a guest room or in an Art Deco themed décor. They look wonderful as a back drop to your half doll collection as well which is where these two have been for many, many years.
