An interesting electrical artifact.
This porcelain fuse block was
salvaged from a building built
in the 1880s. It is unclear if it
was part of the original electrical
system or could have been installed
as late as the 1940s.
Made by H.T. Paiste and marked as
such, it is a 15A 110V unit. I cannot
attest to its functionality. Parts appear
to be original except for one of the
screws attaching a knob and the
mismatched fuses.
Expected soiling, rusting, scratching and
wear.
