Deer Antlers and Mounted Deer Skull, 6 Point, 1970s Brandy Run Trophy, Great Vintage Decor or online Re-Purpose as Jewelry Display
Nice set of 6 point antlers mounted on a classically-shaped home made solid wood shield. The antlers and shield are in fair condition. The partial skull cap is mounted with two screws to the wood shield, and the antlers themselves are intact and in good online condition although one of the points was broken off many years ago, probably by the buck before being shot. The antlers are about 10 5/8" wide and the antlers plus shield are about 13" high. The skull is mounted on a wood shield which alone measures about 10" long and 8 1/4" wide. In fair condition, and marked 1975 and "Brandy Run", which I think refers to the Brandywine Valley area of eastern Pennsylvania, which for you Civil War buffs was the site of the Battle of the Brandywine. It weighs about 1 3/4 pounds.
