60s at the Beeb was a Westwood One show that online aired in the US in the summer of 1990. It featured UK acts performing their songs between 1964 and 1969. See pix for tracks. Very good mono.
It's an amazing musical history of the UK, including interviews and groups doing a lot of songs you probably never heard them doing.
Lets look at some of the acts:
Kinks, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Searchers, Animals, Who, Yardbirds.
Them, Small Faces, Troggs, Spencer Davis, Move, Stones, Cream.
Donovan, Jeff Beck, Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull.
Also a fair amount of a group from Liverpool that had a hit now and them.
And a couple of US acts, including an unknown guitarist who blazed like a comet through the late 60s before burning out in 1970.
