I am listing here two large panels of heavy linen fabric. They are ecru and are almost identical in size. These were my great grandparents and two of the items my mother (and/or her mother) never wanted to sell or remove from the house! I do not know the special meaning they had but they came from Germany (isn't that enough?) and were used for bedding or in the cold winters to block an open doorway. They measure approximately 69 in. x 32 in. Their widths are pretty much the same online or were originally and might differ slightly in the lengths depending if you count the fringed ends. Both side seams are on a salvage.
One has red monogram initials in the corner and I believe that to be from my mother's maternal side. Some argue with me that the last letter is not an "S" but an "L".
Regardless they are old and are special. The only wear or discoloration I see is on the sides where if hung or used on a bed were most likely handled more there than elsewhere on the panels. There is a hole or two in the corners which makes me think it was hung at one time.
AWESOME linen fabric - I should say breath taking that it was preserved this long!
Will sell separately.
