50s Teal Red Irridescent Sharkskin Sheath Dress Cocoon Jacket Vintage.
Not 100% sure of the material but it looks and feels like a raw silk dupioni. Great irridescent sharkskin look with changing teal and red coloration depending on how the fabric moves. Sleeveless sheath style dress. Piping around underbust. 2 decorative bows at front. Metal Talon zipper at mid back. Pleats at bust and waist. 2 short slits at front hem (a separate piece has been sewn onto the inside of the hem online at these places). Gorgeous short cocoon style jacket with collar. Jacket is lined and interfacing in sleeves provides some structure.
The set is likely home made. Excellent condition. The only issues are some very light stressing to the seams at the back of the waist and there is some staining to the muslin lining of the dress. The dress has been through a soak but I have not further treated the staining to the lining. The jacket has not been washed due to the structure - It has been aired out for a long period of time but it may arrive with a slight "vintage" smell.
No size tags, likely fits like a S/M.
