Absolutely lovely mid century oil painting of what appears to be a busy cityscape and streetscape with vintage buildings and people in the foreground. It's just a beautiful collection of soft blues, greys, and other muted colors -- it is very mid century in its styling and detail. I'd consider this to be a Bauhaus painting as it includes some interesting buildings and a dome-topped building centered in the painting that perhaps is a capitol dome or cathedral.

If the painting is signed, it is hidden behind the framing. On that back is the number handwritten "4418." It was framed in a heavy online wood frame that is pure mid century modern style and has acquired a few beauty marks through the decades. The medium stained wood has an ivory colored linen insert that is on the interior of the frame that really sets off the oil painting.

This original oil painting would be right at home in a loft, traditional, or modern home. It would make a nice addition to your mid century art collection.

Overall the frame measures 15"W x 17"H. The artwork measures 7.75"W x 9.5"H.
