WW2 RCAF sweetheart sterling necklace and bracelet - clear pendant - red online lucite heart - sterling novelty chain - Royal Canadian Air Force

Hello! I married these 2 1940s wartime pieces. The necklace has an unusual chain, and a bevelled clear lucite heart, saying "Per Ardua Ad Astra, Royal Canadian Air Force" The back is marked "Ster MC & Co".

Per ardua ad astra online is a Latin phrase meaning "through adversity to the stars" or "through struggle to the stars" that is the official motto of the Royal Canadian Air force.

The cuff bracelet has no markings. Both are in excellent condition.
