Marianne Westman online for Rorstrand, Sweden - ‘Mon Amie ' set for one: 2 plates, coffee cup and saucer - 1951 design
This lovely set with joyful blue online flowers is by Marianne Westman, a Swedish ceramic and textile designer (1928-2017). The 'Mon Amie' pattern was Westman's debut and masterpiece. She created it at just 22 years old for the Swedish porcelain manufacturer Rörstrand in 1951, and it has been a beloved classics since, in Sweden and elsewhere.
The set for one person consists of four pieces:
- Coffee cup, H 2.5''
- Saucer, dia 5 1/4''
- Small dessert / snack plate, dia 6 3/4''
- Larger dessert / snack plate, dia 8 1/4''
The price is per set.
Maker's mark on the bottom on the plates: "Mon Amie Rörstrand Sweden", on bottom of the cup: 'Rörstrand Sweden'.
Condition: Very good vintage condition commensurate with age and use. No chips, cracks or crazing; thin surface scratches from use on the plates. Please see the pictures and ask me any questions. I'm happy to send more photos.
