This is the original 1981 Unwin soft cover printing! A hard-to-find fictional atlas containing 51 maps charting the epic journey that Frodo and his companions undertook in The Lord of the Rings. A nice vintage companion paperback to the trilogy. Printed in Great Britain. Measures approx 9.6 inches by 7.3 inches.

Copyright 1981 and published the same year by Unwin Paperbacks. Unwin printed this same book through the rest of the 1980s, updating the copyright page with the yearly printing info. (We also have a few from 1987 available in our shop.) Ballentine also printed them in the USA simultaneously (they look very similar to this Unwin version) online. All of the versions and years are hard-to-find in decent shape. The Ballentine are more common in the USA, as they were printed here. The Unwin books, like this one, are from Great Britain.

The book has some flaws, most notably the overall edge, corner and shelf wear from general use in the past. Please see the photos. Far from perfect, but still fully intact and very usable. Vintage Item. Sold As Is.
