Fine American hardwood tool caddy or organizer for round and plier action tools, hand made from selected American hardwoods.

Rock solid and NO assembly required. Hand made in Tucson, Arizona.

Coyotes are a common sight here in the High Sonoran Desert of southern Arizona. Everyone sees them, but it's rare to see them howling at night with their online friends. You can hear them though, off in the distance. (If you don't live in the desert, it can also be a wolf, or Australian dingo, or African hyena! Wait, do hyenas howl?)

This is a great caddy or tool holder for jewelers, bead workers, modelers, crafters, or anyone who uses fine hand tools and wants them handy. This is a wonderful workbench organizer!

W22 is Quarter-sawn White Oak with American Black Walnut coyote and Maple moon. Length is approximately 10"

W56 is Quarter-sawn White Oak with American Black Walnut coyote and Abalone moon. Length is approximately 10".

W106 is Northern Catalpa (see notes), with inlays of American Cherry Coyote and Abalone moon. For good measure, the rails are American Cherry. Length is approximately 10.25".

W73 is Curly Maple, with inlays of American Cherry Coyote and Abalone moon. Curly maple is not easy to find, especially this pretty. Length is approximately 10.75".

Notes on Northern Catalpa: It is a rarely found wood. The tree is native only to certain parts of the US Midwest and its lifecycle is intertwined with a specific moth. It can't be grown in groves, because the moths will go crazy, the caterpillars will eat all the leaves, and kill them off. So they are found lightly sprinkled among other trees, just enough, in balance. Catalpa gives off a wonderful spicy aroma when worked, but you won't get any of that in a finished piece. It is a joy to work with: it is strong but relatively lightweight, just hard to find. And those moths? We just happen to know the caterpillars make excellent fish bait.

Each of our fine tool caddies is unique and has a unique serial number. You are not buying one, "like it," you are buying the specific serial numbered item. This way you can see the actual wood, grain, and inlays of each unique, hand made piece.

I've had factory produced tool organizers in the past. They all lacked personal touch, quality materials, or design for use. And who knows what they were made of and by whom and where? After lots of trial and error, this is the design on my workbenches. All American hardwoods, hand selected, and finished with NO stains or unnatural colors. Just the real, quality wood grain showing through. Multiple coats of hand rubbed oil and polyurethane finish.

General Dimensions: Approximately 6 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide. Top two bigger holes are .375 inch diameter (for standard size screwdrivers and similar) and six front holes are .25 (smaller screwdrivers, files, picks, etc.). Lengths vary, see individual serial numbers.

Please note: Hand made and unique wood items may have minor flaws. In addition, we don't buy wood because it is factory plain. We buy it because it is interesting, unique, and shows off its natural beauty.
