This amazing pottery hippo was created in the 1970's and is marked so the manufacturers name is illegible, so uncertain. Made in California, and stamped in the clay on the bottom, this handsome and grand beast can be used as a planter, centerpiece bowl, or serving dish. The entire animal except the bottom of the feet is covered in a rich molten shiny glaze of a combo of green and turquoise blue. This animal has remained in great vintage condition, free of any damages such as chips, cracks, scratches or stains to the ceramic or glaze. Whether you present, snacks, fruit, ice cream, candy or plants, this hippo will stand up to the challenge at hand.
