Large traditional English Oak wooden flower press handmade to order using natural materials.

The finished size of this item may vary due to the nature of the wood but is approximately 16 x 11 inches (40cm x 27cm).

Made using thick 20mm solid English oak for the outer wood panels and includes 6 x 3.6mm hardwood panels for the interior separators.

I created this piece personally and use it online daily to press a variety of flowers which you can see in my other listings. I was inspired to create this item after working with substandard presses and not liking the results.

You would usually find MDF outer panels and cardboard used to separate flowers within the press but I have found that these are just too fragile to press the flowers to a high enough standard.

All wood is cut by hand to give a rustic handmade finished product, this adds to the character and charm of the item. The oak is waney edge on one side which really brings out the bark as a feature of the flower press. All other wood edges are sanded down to provide a smooth finish.

The wood on this item is bare but can be varnished or finished with beeswax to provide a durable finish; please choose the option you prefer at checkout.

This is a heavy item due to the quality of the solid oak wood used, this weight alone will be sufficient to press smaller flowers. Pressure can then be increased using the 6mm steel bolts, washers and wing nuts which are all included. These provide a convenient and precise method of increasing the pressure gradually to avoid damaging any flowers.
