Pictured is one of nodes being sold, as well as the tray of rooted/sprouted nodes that are for sale. The exact plant node that will be sent will be selected from the pictured stock. As seen in the photos, these nodes are already sprouted and beginning to grow. The plant's root system at the time of potting was roughly 3-4 inches long. Because of this, the plant may be larger or slightly different looking when received since I do not know how long it will take to sell. I can supply updated photos before purchasing if it is a concern. While supplies last, nodes can be swapped out for a different one if the updated photos prove unsatisfactory. The picture of the mature plant on this listing is one of the mother plants that I bought my original plant (also pictured in this listing) from. From the time of listing until purchase, these plants will still receive the same love and care that I have been giving them and would give to all of my other plants. If there is any confusion surrounding the plant or the listing, please feel free to contact me.
**You are buying a LIVE PLANT. Unfortunately, I do not have control of the plant's health once it leaves my care and cannot account for delays in shipping, high/low temperatures, or shipping damage. Choosing to buy a live plant does come with the previously stated risks. I will do my best to ensure that you get the healthiest possible plant by both only sending healthy plants and packaging them to the best of my abilities. If any issues arise, please contact me.**
Monstera obliqua is a species of tropical plant within the genus Monstera. Monstera obliqua is best known for its Peru form; thin, crinkly, and full of holes. What not a lot of people know is that Monstera obliqua (as it's currently defined) is highly variable and has online a lot of different forms. This means that while their leaves may look drastically different, all the different forms share the same flower and some other morphological characteristics. This form of obliqua is known as Amazonas and matures with longer, pendulous leaves complete with elongated fenestrations. To me it looks like something out of a Dali painting. Monstera cf obliqua Amazonas is a harder form than its Peruvian relative and certainly does not need to be babied quite as much. This form still likes a bit of humidity and seems to enjoy warmer temps. I have noticed it is not a fan of extremely bright light, you may notice a bit of chlorosis on my mother plant because of its proximity to the light (I have since moved it a little farther away). Your typical Monstera/Aroid potting media will work just perfectly for this plant, just make sure to allow some time to dry between watering. Giving this plant a pole to climb will ensure mature foliage in no time, as this is nearly as fast of a grower as any old adansonii. If you're looking to expand your collection or want to dive into the pokemon-esque world of collecting all the obliqua forms, Amazonas is an exciting addition.
