RE Inscription above the ships:
" it writes Νικόλαος αγιος.
αγιος Νικόλαος. (Agios Nikolaos - Saint Nickolas)
He is a Greek saint of the Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic Church. For us, Greek people, he is very important as he is considered the patron saint of the Sailors, the Greek Navy and the Coast Guard, because in his life are mentioned miracles related to the sea. For this reason, all naval ships, as well as all merchant ships, bear the image of him."

Please review photos if my description is inadequate). The bottom is stamped Made in Greece, with a rectangle ID imprint of figures that I cannot make out.

The Art Vase/Water Jug measures 9” Tall x 10” Diameter x 5 1/4” at the upper rim.
I do believe this is not an old ancient vase (date is unknown), but perfectly rustic, with no cracks or chips. Material appears to be Terra Cotta and holds water.
