A nice studio pottery vase made by British studio potter Colin Thorburn of the UK. He studied ceramics under Lucie Rie and Hans Coper in the 1970's.

This large rustic fish vase has a raised linear design along with an abstract fish design that encircles the lower portion of the vase.

It has a primitive look to it and is glazed with a black matt glaze with orange highlights showing in the raised design where the natural clay shows through.

it measures 10" tall by 8" wide at the widest point of the base.

The online underside has the CT artist stamp in the clay.

it looks very nice overall with some texture seen in the clay body in places as made. One spot on the rim edge has a smooth spot as made and glazed by the artist.
