This pen is 7" closed, 6.5" open with out the cap posted and 8" long open with the cap posted.
The pen comes with both a schmidt converter and an ink cartridge; you may choose online which ever style works for you. The pen will not come inked for safer travels; rather your cartridge will travel with the pen in a separate bag in case of pressure changes during shipping.
The finish on this pen is a hard pen wax, meant for frequent use. As you use this pen it will become better looking with age; the finish will deepen and have a brighter shine.
