Antique 1905 TONGALINE Medicine advertising CALENDAR. "Go-Shono" Apache Medicine Man in lithographed color on front and 1905 promo calendar on reverse. Very cool online and original surviving piece of American History.
Thick-walled paper-board. Originally from the Mellier Drug Company, located on 2112 Locust St, St. Louis, MO, USA.
Some age wear, most especially in the upper left hand corner, shown clearly in photos. The reverse has advertising, a medicine bottle picture, and 1905 calendar.
Tongaline was supposed to cure rheumatism, neuralgia, grippe, gout, sciatica, lumbago, dengue and headaches, as well as liver and kidney disease.
Given it's age, it's in remarkably good condition with vivid colors and very little wear. This is a rare piece for any collector of ephemera, Americana, Native American Art, or Pharmocology. A truly unique find.
Photos show details. Has been framed to both protect and display the piece.
