Copper Shield Necklace online

This unique necklace makes a great accent to any outfit and is made of two layers of hand cut copper. The base piece was cut in the shape of a shield then hammered and stamped to create a frame for the top piece. The base was oxidized to highlight the detail. The top plate of copper was also hand cut online then paint and pencils were used to create the African tribal shield design. The top plate was riveted to the base with micro brass rivets. The entire piece was coated with acrylic to preserve the finish. When you turn the piece over, you'll find a piece of my heart!! This pendant is suspended from an 18” open loop copper chain and has a copper lobster claw closure. NC1565
