Pretty Mid-Century Black Velvet Glass Bead Evening Bag, Made in Czechoslovakia Circa 1950's. (SKU-145)

This darling little black bag was beautifully made with hand-beaded black and clear glass beads with the handles and borders in black velvet - the sort of purse that would have accompanied the black dress and online gloves at a cocktail party. The intricate bead-work is contrasted by the simple semi-circle design of the bag, a ball chain toggle pulls the zipper open into a full lining fit with a small inner pocket. The bag shows signs of repair work on the bottom of the handle which is tidy and unnoticeable.

Hallmark: Tag "Made in Czechoslovakia" has come lose, but is safe inside the inner pocket
