This is a beautiful, limited edition plaster cast tile of Cow Parsley.

This limited edition tile combines my love of the countryside and nature, with collecting unusual items from flea markets. I find the sculptural qualities of a simple flower, seed pod or Fir cone visually exciting. The life of flowers and plants can be very short lived, the process of casting them is like capturing a moment in time, preserving them to be enjoyed long after they have faded away. Many other items can be cast, an old set of dividers, a simple bottle opener, old key or fossils. The process of casting gives them a beautiful sculptural quality & transforms the items into a work of art. I am happy to take on individual commissions.

This tile was made by pressing Cow Parsley into clay. It was then removed & plaster poured over to create the cast. When the plaster is dry the clay is peeled away to reveal the raised impression. A small hole is drilled into the back to allow the tile to be hung on a wall, or it can simply be propped up on a shelf. The plaster used is very hard when set, but the tiles are only suitable for indoor use & you should avoid rooms with lots of condensation & moisture.

This tile was measures 15 x 15 x 1.5 cm


All the tiles I make are available in white, or with colour added – Dark Blue, Dark Green, Rust Red or Brown. Please note colours and tiles may differ slightly from what you see on the screen, they are all made to order. They are also available mounted & framed in a selection of complimentary wooden frames -
solid Oak, Oak effect & White. You can see examples of these in my shop.

Before packing each plaster tile is checked thoroughly & carefully wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap, then packed in a sturdy cardboard box. If framed then extra layers of protection are used to ensure the glass is safe.
