Quality reclaimed wood costs 3 times higher than regular lumbers and takes extra time to source and prepare before going into production but we don't cut the corners when it comes to the quality. No fooling around with misleading advertising!

This beautiful 3" thick box style shelf / fireplace mantel is handmade and each piece is carefully light sanded by hands to keep the original saw lines and imperfections so that we can leave the true character of the woods.

**As shown on the listing pictures, some pieces have the nail holes which are perfectly normal for the reclaimed barnboard**

Every piece of reclaimed wood has its own history showing amazing characters with different grain, saw marks, nail holes, scars, dents and cracks. It can be also slightly warped or bowed and may take color differently. That's the beauty of it. Imperfection! But it doesn't take away from the structural integrity of any piece of reclaimed wood.


It comes with the mounting block and hardware with detail instruction for easy hanging. The mounting block screws into the wall and the hollow shelf slides over. This system is extremely sturdy and easy to mount!

Our reclaimed woods are sourced from local Ontario barns, old construction sites, still carrying the original sawmill marks from the traditional saw blade, nail holes and scars. These deep marks will bring beautiful character that cannot be duplicated by rustic stains/paints.

All of our reclaimed wood has been "Kiln dried".
Kiln drying insures the wood is low in moisture and free of insects, larvae, fungus or mold.

Please note that this is a hollow box style to make 3" tall and it has been planed on the backside for the consistent thickness. We don't stain inside the box so you will see the fresh planed wood finish.
