Gemstone Description

This is an Oregon Sunstone with a rusty orange red color in an eye clean VVS clarity gem. There are no inclusions visible, not even copper shiller inclusions with low magnification. This fine gemstone is completely untreated. Our stone cutter has precision hand faceted the rough into a Marquise shape. The measurements are 15.2 x 8.5 x 5.1 mm and the weight is 3.37 carat. The rough was mined from Misha 2 in Oregon by another family run operation. Oregon Sunstone has a hardness of 6.5-7 so it is suitable in many types of jewelry.
