Rare and unusual aneroid barometer made by the now defunct French company Les Etains de Paris. The barometer is in a style popular in the 1890's to 1910 but is more likely a more modern reproduction and still dates to the 1960's or perhaps a little before. The case is made in pewter and the dome is glass, the dial looks to be metal but no way of telling without taking it apart! Overall the barometer is in very good condition and is working, however as with all barometers of this period I would point out they are not known for their accuracy as they rely on a simple air pressure measurement, so don't leave your house without a coat on before checking with Alexa or Siri!
Please note that these barometers need to be "set" once in their new location as air pressure varies depending on height above sea level so although it is correct for central France it will need adjusting in it's new home, to allow for this there is a simple mechanism on the back that can be turned to reposition the needle.
