An intaglio print is the process in which the image is incised into a surface. This cut out or incision, holds the ink and online creates the image. This type of printing is the opposite of relief printing. Today, intaglio printing is used to make paper products such as, currency, banknotes, passports, and wedding invitations. This intaglio print was made from copper plates. The process of incision was all hand etched.
It comes matted and cardboard backed and ready to display in any standard 8 in x 10 in frame.
