An unusual antique brass and gilt metal wire
form basket or bowl features detailed woven sides, reticulated wire handles and gilt metal leaf & vine accents, a hand painted French porcelain plaque depicts genre courting scene with figures rests in the center supported on 4 wire legs with ball foot.
Circa 1890.

In very good condition, plaque without online chips or cracks, wear to the surface consistent with age and use.
Basket without breaks, losses or repairs, finish seems to be gilt over painted.
