Our necklace is based on an ornate headdress found with the body of Queen Puabi in the Royal Cemetery at Ur. We used genuine lapis and carnelian beads to create the beaded strand. The leaf is 18K gold plated pewter for a long-lasting finish. The necklace is 18 inches long with a lobster claw closure. This item will ship in a jewelry box with an information card.

Lapis, carnelian, and gold were the most popular elements in the jewelry of Mesopotamia, the region between the Tigres and Euphrates rivers.
