Vintage Bluebird Of Happiness, Leather 3D Scatter Pins, 1940s Unique online Jewelry, Hand Painted Avian Pair

I've never seen anything like these! A pair of matching sweet bluebirds done in fabric - I believe leather - and stuffed so as to appear 3D. Hand-painted fronts with lovely details on the wings in shades of baby blue, white, black, and chocolate brown. Some wearing off the paint around all edges and subtly through colored parts, but nothing major that detracts. Backsides are left natural, so a light caramel brown, and onto each is sewn a safety pin-type fastening in a brass color. Very lightweight.

Birds are similar in size, but vary ever-so-slightly as follows:
Larger bird measures 2.5" long x 1.5" tall
Smaller bird measures 2" long x 1" tall

Please note the length is measured wingtip-to-wingtip, but these are really quite petite pins. Would look stunning on a lapel on full display. A wonderful example of handiwork from days gone online by.
